Trustees Plant Sales May 13 & May 20
 
Looking for great quality native perennials, and vegetable, herb and flower seedlings for your garden? Trustees Boston Community Gardens has you covered with plant sales this Saturday and next in Mattapan and the South End. Our plants are grown using sustainable practices at City Natives, Trustees’ nursery in Mattapan, in our compost-heated greenhouse. Trustees staff and volunteers will be on hand to help with plant selection and offer gardening tips. Trustees members get 10% off, plus special incentives for joining at both sales.

·         native perennials like nodding onion, great angelica, trout lily, and ostrich fern
·         woody natives like moosewood, maleberry, and bayberry and 80 more native species
·         classic heirloom and hybrid tomatoes, eggplant, sweet & hot peppers, greens, cucumbers & more
·         compact and disease resistant vegetables well suited for urban gardens
·         medicinal herbs like ashwaganda, horehound and lemon balm

Gardening Supplies:
·         cover crop seed: red clover, field pea, tillage radish, winter rye
·         organic fertilizers, amendments & pest solutions: Cheep Cheep, fish emulsion, Pro-Gro, kaolin clay, Azomite - in garden-sized amounts
